Come to Christ
Why This Matters
The Bible tells us that every one of us will stand before God.
“It is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)
This is not a distant or abstract reality. It is certain. And it is personal.
Our Problem
God is holy, righteous, and just. He created us to know Him, love Him, and live under His authority. But we have all sinned.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Sin is not merely wrongdoing—it is rebellion against God. We have lived for ourselves, trusted our own way, and ignored the One who made us.
Because God is just, sin must be judged.
“The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)
No amount of good works, religion, or effort can remove our guilt or make us right with God.
God's Provision
But God, in His mercy, has made a way.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world to save sinners. He lived the life we failed to live— perfect, righteous, and without sin—and He willingly went to the cross.
“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross…” (1 Peter 2:24)
On the cross, Jesus took upon Himself the punishment that sinners deserve. He died in our place. And on the third day, He rose again, defeating sin and death.
Salvation is not something we achieve—it is something Christ has accomplished.
What God Commands
God now calls all people everywhere to respond.
“God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent.” (Acts 17:30)
To repent is to turn from sin—to turn from trusting yourself—and to turn to Christ.
To believe is to trust in Him alone: not in your works, not in your efforts, not in your past—but in Jesus Christ and what He has done.
The Promise
God makes a sure promise:
“Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
All who come to Christ in repentance and faith are:
- forgiven of their sins
- declared righteous before God
- reconciled to Him
- given eternal life
A Personal Appeal
This is not merely information—it is a call.
You do not need to understand everything before coming to Christ.
You do not need to fix your life first.
You do not need to make yourself worthy.
You are called to come.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Do not delay. Do not harden your heart. Turn to Christ today.
If You Are Considering These Things
If God is stirring your heart, we encourage you to:
- read the Bible (start with the Gospel of John)
- speak with someone who can help you understand
- join us on a Sunday as we open God's Word together
We would be glad to walk with you as you seek to know Him.
“Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.”
— Isaiah 55:6–7
