Providence Christian Church

Providence Christian Church (PCC) has been in existence since 2000. It was planted with 8 to 10 founding families under the direction of Dwayne Storey. The church met at a local hotel, then the local lions club, and within a couple of years they were able to acquire an old church building. With quite a bit of renovations by volunteers within the congregation the building became what it is today! We are thankful for God’s provision to us in this way.

Since May 2004, God raised Elders to lead the flock and has raised up many within the congregation to serve in ministry, and to use their gifts. The family at PCC has grown stronger and all the glory goes to God. A great majority of the members are in their 20s and 30s making it a very young and lively church.

The church is Reformed Baptist in its roots and holds to the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith for its doctrinal statement. In 2005, PCC was privileged and blessed to become a member church of the Canadian National Baptist Convention (CNBC). In mid 2006 PCC along with other CNBC churches formed the first CNBC Association in Atlantic Canada called the East Coast Baptist Association (ECBA).
